All my images, every attempt to capture the raw energy, power and passion that erupts when an artist, band or solo musician performs is derived from one goal..
A drummer of 30+ years, I first brought my camera to a gig nearly two decades back wanting to use the medium of photography to convey those emotions that I myself have experienced from years of playing live stage shows.
The difference between many photographers and myself working to grab that perfect shot from the pit , is that I have clocked up many, many hours at the other end of the camera on stage.
Creating my own brand “Snaprockandpop” I have shot and worked for a number of festivals and institutions including the BBC, Festival of Voice, Welsh Music Prize, Supersonic Festival, Swn Festival, ATG Festival, 2000 Trees, Supersonic Festival , The Big Chill Festival, We Are Cardiff, Nozstock Festival, Wales Millennium Centre and Cardiff Motorpoint Arena.
I have been published in the Guardian, kerrang Magazine, and overseas in Visions magazine.
